The Bible is clear that people are not saved from destruction by their works. There is nothing that we can do to commend ourselves to God or to repay the debt that we owe to Him. But a saved person is a servant of Christ. Servants by definition work for their master. This study shows the importance of the Christian working for Christ and the role it plays in the Christian life. Paul teaches in Titus 2:14 that Jesus died to "purify for Himself a people for His own possession who are zealous for good works".

The Rise of False Prophets
No sooner had the early Christian church been established that false teachers entered the church to destroy it from the inside with a false gospel. The Apostle Peter warned against false teachers and the Apostle Paul had to confront them.
2 Peter 2:1 "But false prophets arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. These false teachers will infiltrate your midst with destructive heresies, even to the point of denying the Master who bought them. As a result, they will bring swift destruction on themselves." NET
Galatians 1:6-9 “I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are following a different gospel— 7 not that there really is another gospel, but there are some who are disturbing you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be condemned to hell! 9 As we have said before, and now I say again, if any one is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let him be condemned to hell!” NET
This bible study examines just what that false gospel was and compares it to the true gospel that was taught by Paul.

Hell Fire Pt1 - The Execution by Fire of the Lost

The Bible teaches that the wages of sin is death - the second death. It does not teach that the wages of sin is eternal life in the lake of fire. Jesus spoke about the reality of hell and clearly taught that it is the final destiny of Satan, his angels and all who join with him in his rebellion against God. The traditional false view of hell is that it is a place of eternal torment where the unsaved burn forever. It comes as a suprize to many to learn that this is not what the bible teaches. The biblical hell is a place in the future where after the judgement the unsaved will be burned to ashes on the ground each according to his works. After the total destruction of the lost the rebellion against God will be no more than a memory.
